Friday night a last minute cold weather drive to wrap up the year was planned. A great selection of cars made the day a great Sunday.

A few very brave drivers turned up in some seriously high powered cars. A 700bhp RWD Ford Mustang, a Mclaren 570s, MP4-12C and another Mustang Bullitt to name some of the more confident. A nice selection of far from sensible cars were also enjoying the quiet twisty roads.
The route started in Machynlleth at 10am. The roads were damp and slippery with some blue sky appearing in the distance. Heading up to white hut Dolgellau for the fuel stop, we proceeded to Bala Lake, where the weather began to clear. Following some tight twisty mountain rounds, we ended up in Barmouth for a chip shop lunch. After an hour stop, we hit the road again with the final stage back along the coast entering the mountain valley for some night sweeping roads. A great day all round, thank you everyone that attended.

September Covid Cancelled Drive

COVID CANCELLED OUR BIG EVENT

After a tough year for everyone, we had no choice but to cancel the main event. Not only did we miss out on a chance to look at cars all day, but the charity pot also suffered. We raised a much smaller sum of £1,461.60 for the Wales Air Ambulance (usually over £5000)

I wasn’t prepared to let it all be doom and gloom. A quick post on our social media to invite a controlled amount of vehicles for an extended drive was needed. Around 10 cars made their way to Machynlleth Car Park to take advantage of the fantastic weather.

A 110 Mile loop around the coast ending up at Halo in Tywyn, Gwynedd for a Honey Ice cream after enjoying the welsh roads was needed after being locked up for so long.
